Job Brief:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in the Freight Forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our customer base across a diverse product portfolio. This includes ocean freighting, air freighting, warehousing and distribution, customs clearance, and more. The BDM will be accountable for achieving sales targets, managing client relationships, and overseeing the credit control process for new and existing customers.
Job Responsibilities:- Promote and sell a broad range of logistics services, including Ocean Freighting (Export, Import, and X-Trade Sales for both FCL & LCL), Air Freighting (Export, Import, and X-Trade Sales), Warehousing & Distribution (Crating/Lashing, Exhibition, Last Mile Delivery), Customs Clearance & Transportation (Export and Import for Ocean and Air shipments), and Break Bulk/ODC shipments.
- Actively generate new business leads and onboard new customers to achieve both revenue and volume targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and control credit for existing and future customers to minimize risk and ensure smooth financial operations.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Meet or exceed sales targets on a consistent basis.
