Chief Accountant

Job Responsibilities:
Monthly Closing:
  • Oversee the monthly financial closing process.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and verify expense allocations and adjustments.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze the balance sheet and profit & loss (P&L) statements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for financial improvements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
VAT Compliance:
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper VAT documentation and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in VAT laws and implement necessary updates.
Team Supervision:
  • Lead and supervise junior and senior accountants.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for the accounting team.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Internal Controls:
  • Implement and monitor accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounting and financial issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • 5 - 8 years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, VAT laws, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team.
