EMS Technician

Job Brief: We are seeking a skilled EMS Technician with expertise in Isokinetic sampling to support emission monitoring system maintenance projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in stack emission testing, maintenance of monitoring equipment, and compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance of emission monitoring systems and respond to equipment faults.
  • Conduct Isokinetic sampling on stacks, measuring TSP, Velocity, and Volumetric flow rates (CO, CO₂, NOx, SO₂, O₂) using the US EPA Method 5 procedure.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and carry out repairs on stack emission testing equipment such as Method 5 sample probes, DGM, and portable analyzers (e.g., Horiba PG350).
  • Carry out Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA) in refinery process and utility stacks, collecting data for final reporting.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols while working on client sites, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain quality standards and client expectations in all testing and maintenance activities.
  • Implement quality control measures to optimize equipment performance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth execution of maintenance projects.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Isokinetic sampling on various process stacks.
  • Certified training completion for US EPA Method 5 Procedure.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, policies, and best practices in emission monitoring.
  • Physically fit to work on high-elevated stack platforms.
  • Experience working in the oil & gas sector.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience in stack emission testing and handling test equipment like Method 5 sample probes, DGM, and portable analyzers (e.g., Horiba PG350).
  • Knowledge of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
