Job Summary:The HSE Engineer will be responsible for managing health, safety, and environmental programs at various project sites, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. The role involves conducting risk assessments, developing HSE policies, and ensuring their implementation across all levels of the workforce. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in HSE Management and ISO standards, with experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSE Management Systems (HSEMS) across project sites, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety procedures, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Lead incident and accident investigations, providing reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and workers to ensure safety measures are understood and enforced during construction and operational activities.
- Provide technical advice to contractors and the workforce regarding safe work practices, emergency procedures, and legal compliance.
- Manage HSE documentation, including preparing safety reports, risk assessments, and safety plans for ongoing projects.
- Monitor and review HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Deliver safety training programs for workers, supervisors, and contractors, ensuring high standards of workforce safety awareness.
- Collaborate with clients and senior management to address HSE concerns and provide updates on compliance status.
- Participate in procurement and installation phases to ensure that safety is considered in all phases of project development.
- Promote sustainability initiatives such as waste management and recycling efforts to minimize environmental impact.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and local safety authorities to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
