Job Purpose:The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental policies within the joinery division. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, promotes a safe work environment, and mitigates risks to protect employees and company assets.
Job Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to HSE standards, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Organize and lead safety training sessions to educate employees on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documents.
- Collaborate with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and proactively address safety concerns.
- Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and used correctly by all employees.
- Conduct risk assessments for new projects and processes, identifying potential hazards and recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to senior management, highlighting key safety metrics and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on HSE regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and safety enhancement.
