Logistics Manager

Job Brief:
We are seeking a Logistics Manager with a strong background in the chemical industry to oversee and optimize all logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and drumming. The role involves managing third-party logistics, supporting production facilities, and ensuring compliance in the handling of both DG (Dangerous Goods) and non-DG materials.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily logistics operations including import/export, dispatches, and warehouse management.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Supervise drumming and packaging activities in line with safety and compliance standards.
  • Manage the handling and transportation of DG and non-DG goods according to regulatory requirements.
  • Support production facility logistics by ensuring timely supply and dispatch of raw materials and finished products.
  • Lead and manage a logistics team, ensuring high performance and accountability across import/export and dispatch functions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of logistics experience, with at least 5 years in the chemical industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of DG and non-DG goods handling and compliance.
  • Experience with drumming and warehouse operations.
  • Proven experience working with third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Male candidates preferred due to nature of warehouse supervision.
  • Education: Degree in Chemistry
