Procurement Officer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management and Selection: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely availability of quality materials and services. Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Purchasing and Procurement Process: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including raising purchase requests, obtaining quotations, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage vendor contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms, conditions, and quality standards. Handle contract renewals, amendments, and dispute resolutions when required.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Coordinate with the warehouse team to track inventory movements and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Work within allocated budgets to ensure cost-effective procurement decisions. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks in procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, cost fluctuations, and vendor reliability. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to understand procurement needs and align purchasing activities with project timelines and objectives.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience: 4 - 7 years of experience in procurement within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or fire contracting companies.
  • Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations, contract management, and supplier evaluation processes.
