Job Brief:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Purchaser with extensive experience in procurement within the agricultural and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process end-to-end, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for spare parts and equipment.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal value.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future requirements to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement aligns with operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.
• Prepare and review purchase orders and ensure timely processing and approvals.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to track and ensure on-time delivery of goods.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term procurement goals.
• Assist in the development of procurement strategies and sourcing plans.

Procurement Scope:

• Spare parts (e.g., pumps, construction materials, etc.)
• Agricultural equipment
• Fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other agrochemicals
• Certified seeds such as maize, soybeans, sunflower, and others, based on seasonal needs
