Job Purpose:
The position profitably manages the production activities to meet customer requirements regarding quality, timely delivery, and service level. This role is responsible for achieving the company's manufacturing goals and objectives considering quality health, safety, and environment.

Job Objective:
Achieve production targets as per the sales requirements and reduce manufacturing costs by introducing new cost-saving initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fully comply with and exercise diligence in observing all QHSE standards specified by management.
• Ensure that the department production procedures are up to date and continuously reviewed to improve the standards.
• Manage resource planning and production issues on the work floor.
• Accountable for setting annual improvement objectives & KPIs for the production department, and reporting monthly department KPIs.
• Make sure proper filing of all documents related to production is in place.
• Ensure only authorized personnel are within the vicinity of machines and all machines are operated under strict Safety guidelines.
• Manage the production processes ensuring high quality at all production stages.
• Prepare an annual operation budget and ensure costs are within the budget.
• Responsible for production planning, scheduling, and coordination with other departments to ensure total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure compliance with production schedules and meeting of delivery deadlines; ensure full customer satisfaction at all times.
• Carry out product quality and process defect analysis to identify the root cause and define corrective action.
• Identify and analyze bottleneck and capacity constraints in manufacturing.
• Facilitate high-impact process and quality improvement projects to reduce defects, and increase productivity through optimized machine loading and cutting parameters; initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating cost.
• Facilitate the purchase of new workshop equipment by identifying specifications and suitable suppliers.
• Ensure that daily production inventory for each machine is forwarded to the inventory controller.
• Hold weekly meetings with planning, dispatch, and inventory to iron out any communication gaps.
• Responsible for the development, training, and competence of workshop employees. Develop a strong Team and plan for succession.
• Share the pricing information with the sales team on a regular basis and highlight if there are any changes in prices.
• Assist in sourcing raw materials by selecting the right material at the right price. Sourcing is to be done upon approval from the Chairman.
• Ensure the raw materials are stocked adequately to support any customer demands at short notice.
• Wastage and Damages should be minimized to zero.
• Ensure all entries for stock and finished goods have been timely made.

Job Requirements:

• 5-8 years experience in a manufacturing company in packaging or its subsidiary industry.
• Degree in Engineering or Diploma in specialized field(s).
• Should have worked with well-acclaimed machines in the industry.
• Excellent MS Office skills and other computer software knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
