Job Purpose:
Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials & supplies required, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery. They will also maintain supplier relationships to support production efficiency and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
Procurement and RFQ Management:
  • Process Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Comparative Analysis (CS):
  • Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) to analyze and recommend vendors.
  • Ensure transparent and efficient vendor selection processes.
Imports and Logistics:
  • Manage the procurement of imported goods, including handling shipping, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
ERP and Documentation:
  • Utilize ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.
Vendor and Delivery Follow-Up:
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials and services by maintaining regular communication with vendors.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, quality, or discrepancies in orders.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on purchase activities, cost savings, and procurement efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement.
Job Requirements:
  • 5-6 years of purchase experience in a white/grey cement factory or similar industry (preferably white cement).
  • Bachelor’s degree – BBA, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports effectively.
  • Basic commercial knowledge.
  • Conversant with Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and import/export regulations.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time management skills.
