Senior Cost Estimator

Job Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop accurate cost estimates and budget forecasts for construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial constraints.
  • Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project efficiency.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and negotiate vendor contracts for optimal pricing and terms.
  • Management of Estimators: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of estimators to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimation.
  • Market Research (Saudi Focus): Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and labor rates within Saudi Arabia to ensure competitive and realistic cost projections.
  • Quantity Takeoffs & Analysis: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from engineering drawings to support cost estimation and project planning.
  • Project Feasibility & Bid Preparation: Evaluate project feasibility by analyzing scope, costs, and timelines, and assist in preparing competitive bid proposals.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors for accurate pricing and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Construction Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of past and current project costs to improve cost estimation models.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor project cash flow, ensuring financial stability and timely payment schedules.
  • Cost Control & Reporting: Track project costs, identify variances, and generate detailed cost reports for stakeholders.
  • Bid Submission & Prequalification: Prepare and submit bids while ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Risk & Contingency Planning: Assess potential risks in cost estimation and develop contingency plans to mitigate financial impact.
  • Plan & Specification Analysis: Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure accurate cost calculations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify cost-related queries and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Productivity & Resource Efficiency: Optimize resource allocation and workforce productivity to control costs and enhance project profitability.
  • Site Execution & Work Completion: Coordinate with site teams to ensure cost estimates align with on-ground execution and project completion requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have 10 – 15 years of cost estimation experience in KSA.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of KSA market trends, material costs, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in handling large-scale contracting projects is preferred.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
