Senior Service Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
Project Management:
  • Carry out the jobs assigned for water treatment for the assigned customer.
  • Analyze water samples and implement various water treatment chemical programs for boilers, cooling water/condenser water, chilled water, swimming pools, and general purposes.
  • Maintain a business relationship with customers and keep schedules and reports of work planned and completed in accordance with the administrative systems operated by the company.
Material Handling and Installation:
  • Commission all kinds of water and wastewater treatment plants and technologies such as clarifiers, filtration, UF, EDI, RO, DM, STP, ETP plants, aeration, MBBR, MBR, etc.
  • Commission and troubleshoot water treatment controllers/dosing systems.
  • Troubleshoot water treatment plants.
  • Site coordination and management.
  • Safety management on-site.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team for the BOQ requirements for erection and commissioning.
  • Manage clients by understanding their priorities and expectations and satisfying the same for the goodwill of the company.
Operation & Maintenance:
  • Analyze water parameters.
  • Execute projects for Water/Wastewater/ETP/STP/TSE polishing systems.
  • Install plant equipment with reference to P&ID, piping layout, and isometric drawings.
  • Raise RFIs and coordinate with the consultant for approval upon the completion of installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with the client regarding site readiness to commence installation activities.
  • Optimize plant performance to meet design commitments.
  • Coordinate with the project team to execute plant actions.
  • Diagnose and provide recommendations for process-oriented issues.
  • Prepare method statements, checklists, and TRAs for installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Generate monthly O&M and AMC services reports, monthly production and chemical consumption reports, and water analysis reports.
  • Survey and submit reports of the actual/as-built site conditions with recommendations to the sales team prior to bidding.
  • On-site, apply and close the work permit and maintain safety rules.
  • Liaise with our sales team, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to provide smooth water treatment to our clients.
  • Develop process engineering in support of day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring activities.
  • Monitor/evaluate performance and maintain effective monitoring reports.
  • Troubleshoot operational and process quality problems in various areas, providing technical content for operating procedures.
  • Look for any additional service requirements for the client.
  • Support the organization in all aspects of its work, mainly related to water treatment chemicals, and provide after-sales service to existing and new customers.
  • Observe all health and safety directives or guidelines in force in the company and as may be imposed by the customer.
  • Have knowledge of water treatment, especially chemical dosage and calculations.
  • Program and interface the controller with the BMS/SCADA system.
  • Have knowledge of Ethernet/IP address communication.
  • Review the current treatment program (case study) and provide enhanced technical support.
  • Conduct corrosion coupon monitoring.
  • Implement biological control measures based on onsite spot/lab test methods.
  • Calibrate special sensors like PTSA, fluorometers, online correlators, turbidity, ORP, etc.
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers for troubleshooting dosing systems (controllers, pumps, sensors, etc.).
  • Maintain chemical stock and coordinate with logistics to ensure adequate stock for water treatment.
  • Provide onsite training for customers, clients, and site operatives.
  • Prepare for leak tests.
  • Carry out the installation of hoses, pipes, fittings, pumps, etc.
  • Assist engineers during consultant inspections and approvals.
  • Coordinate site activities with our engineers.
  • Check the tank and domestic water system to be flushed.
  • Supervise tank cleaning and disinfection.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as Service Engineer in the water treatment industry.
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Must have a valid UAE driving license.
