Job Purpose:The Tendering & Estimation Manager is responsible for managing the tendering and estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing to secure profitable contracts. This role involves leading a team, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to develop and submit detailed and compliant proposals that meet client needs.
Job Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the entire tendering and estimation process for construction projects.
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Lead the development of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Analyze and assess project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Collaborate with the project management and engineering teams to gather necessary information for tender proposals.
- Identify risks associated with the project scope and develop strategies to mitigate them within the tender and estimation phases.
- Manage and mentor the tendering and estimation team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
- Present and justify cost estimates and tender proposals to senior management for review and approval.
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
