Job Purpose:
The Tendering & Estimation Manager is responsible for managing the tendering and estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing to secure profitable contracts. This role involves leading a team, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to develop and submit detailed and compliant proposals that meet client needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the entire tendering and estimation process for construction projects.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Lead the development of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Analyze and assess project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Collaborate with the project management and engineering teams to gather necessary information for tender proposals.
  • Identify risks associated with the project scope and develop strategies to mitigate them within the tender and estimation phases.
  • Manage and mentor the tendering and estimation team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
  • Present and justify cost estimates and tender proposals to senior management for review and approval.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in tendering and estimation within the construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Preference for Arab nationals to better align with business communication needs.
