Job Summary:The Senior Warehouse Associate receives, unpacks, checks, and stores materials. Picks, packs, labels, and ships products to fill orders. Conducts light assembly work, operates power equipment, especially forklift/stacker/pallet jack/hand pallet, and performs a variety of tasks related to warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities:- Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them in assigned places.
- Breaking down freight – hand off-loading of product, staging, consolidating put-away location.
- Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, load & ship)
- Picking product orders – hand loading product to pallets.
- Prepare shipment documentation in coordination with customer service.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations.
- Perform light assembly works and supervise assembly workers in the correct assembly process to ensure company quality standards and processes.
- Optimize space utilization and promote warehouse operations improvements.
- Basic computer operations/handling of data entries and emails.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
- Perform regular cycle count checks to assure stock log accuracy.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment of the facilities.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
Job Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as an active forklift user licensed to handle ‘Material handling equipment’.
- Excellent physical condition and coordination - work in a standing position on a continuous basis, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling receiving, shipping, warehouse operations, or assembly in an industrial setting.
- Experience within the fabrication or engineering industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and shipping methods (FCL, LCL, FTL, LTL, etc.).
- Proficiency in Mathematics, manufacturing/inventory software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Fluent in communication in English.
